Elijah James Wood, a 23-year-old white male from Watkinsville, Georgia, tragically lost his life on March 19, 2021. He was working the overnight shift at a RaceTrac gas station on Macon Highway when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. when a masked gunman entered the store, pointed a handgun at Wood, and pulled the trigger.
