Eugene Karl “Gene” Siller, a 46-year-old White male from the north metro Atlanta area, stepped into what should have been an ordinary holiday-weekend afternoon at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw on July 3, 2021, and never came back. Siller was the club’s director of golf, a well-known PGA professional, a husband, and a father, and the picture that emerged from family tributes and reporting was of a man who had built his life around work, golf, and home.
