In a homeless encampment on the outskirts of Gainesville, Georgia, the life of 37-year-old Billie Lee Davis, a male, came to a violent end. On the morning of May 13, 2022, his body was discovered at the edge of the camp located off Queen City Parkway. He had been fatally shot.
Investigators believe that in the early hours of that morning, an argument erupted between Davis and another resident of the camp, 42-year-old Pedro Morales-Valle. The dispute escalated, culminating in Morales-Valle allegedly shooting Davis. Several hours passed before Davis's body was found by another resident of the encampment, who then alerted the authorities.
Following an investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Pedro Morales-Valle was arrested on May 26, 2022. He was subsequently charged with malice murder in connection with Billie Lee Davis's death. At the time of his arrest, Morales-Valle was being held in the Hall County Jail without bond. Authorities indicated that additional charges were pending.
