Hezekiah Hires

Hezekiah E. Hires, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 13, 1910, in Jacksonville, Florida. Officer Hires was serving with the Jacksonville Police Department at the time of his death. He had been with the department for only ten months, having previously served in the U.S. Army.
