Walter D. Illyankoff, a 40-year-old male, was tragically killed on July 21, 1974, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was a patrolman with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and had served the community for 14 years. On that fateful day, Illyankoff responded to a robbery alarm at a local restaurant on North Federal Highway.
