Alvin Vincent Kohler, a 23-year-old trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol, tragically lost his life on September 19, 1978, in Miami, Florida. Kohler was on duty, assisting a disabled motorist on the Florida Turnpike at SW 168th Street, when the incident occurred.
