Stephen A. Taylor, a 26-year-old police officer from Pensacola, Florida, tragically lost his life on October 19, 1982. Officer Taylor was responding to a bank robbery at the Freedom Federal Savings Bank located at the intersection of Palafox Street and Gregory Street. During the incident, he was fatally shot by the suspect.
