Corrections Officer Mark Lindsey Parker, a 44-year-old white male, succumbed to complications from gunshot wounds sustained on January 10, 1984, in the Orange County Courthouse in Orlando, Florida. On that day, a suspect entered the courthouse with the intention of shooting a police officer who had previously issued him a traffic ticket.
