Deputy Sheriff James Rondeau Dickinson, a dedicated law enforcement officer with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, tragically lost his life on August 22, 1989, in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. At the time of his death, Dickinson was serving a commitment order on a disturbed Vietnam War veteran at the man's residence.
