George Stefan DeSalvia, a 29-year-old police officer with the Orlando Police Department, tragically lost his life on February 3, 2000. Officer DeSalvia was shot and killed while assisting another officer during a traffic stop on John Young Parkway in Orlando, Florida. The incident occurred when the second officer had arrested one of the vehicle's occupants on an outstanding warrant.
