Deputy Sheriff Brian Keith Tephford, aged 34, tragically lost his life on November 11, 2006, in Tamarac, Florida. Tephford was performing extra duty at the Versailles Gardens condominium complex when he conducted a vehicle stop on two suspicious vehicles around 11:00 PM. During this stop, he called for backup, and Deputy Corey Carbocci arrived to assist.
