Andre Maurice Waters, a 44-year-old African American male, was a former professional football player who played as a safety for the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals in the NFL. On November 20, 2006, Waters was found dead in his home in Tampa, Florida, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His death was ruled a suicide by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
