On June 5, 2016, 15-year-old Tovonna Holton, a freshman at Wiregrass Ranch High School in Wesley Chapel, Florida, tragically took her own life. The incident occurred in the bathroom of her family's Tampa-area home, where Tovonna used a handgun from her mother's purse to fatally shoot herself.
