Detective Roger Castillo, a 41-year-old veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department, tragically lost his life on January 20, 2011, while serving a felony warrant. Castillo, along with his colleague Detective Amanda Haworth, was part of a multi-agency task force assigned to apprehend Johnny Simms, a fugitive wanted for murder.
