Sergeant Thomas John Baitinger, a dedicated officer with the St. Petersburg Police Department, tragically lost his life on January 24, 2011, at the age of 48. Baitinger, along with Police Officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz, was involved in a high-risk operation to serve two warrants on a suspect wanted for aggravated battery.
