Alexis Shamil Wilson, a 17-year-old from Fort Myers, Florida, tragically lost her life on January 25, 2014. Alexis was in a car with friends when another vehicle pulled up beside them at a red light at the intersection of Winkler Avenue and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard. The assailant rolled down the rear window and opened fire, hitting Alexis in the back. Despite being rushed to Lee Memorial Hospital, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
