Lalita Odom, a 23-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on June 20, 2016, in Fort Myers, Florida. Lalita, affectionately known as "Lala" to her friends and family, was found shot to death behind a home on Dora Street in the Dunbar neighborhood. The incident occurred early in the morning, and her body was discovered around 8 a.m. Lalita was a mother to two young children, a 5-month-old and a 2-year-old, who were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
