Roderick Simmons, a 30-year-old resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, tragically lost his life on March 19, 2014. The incident occurred while Simmons was playing dominoes with friends outside his home. According to witnesses, a vehicle approached the group, and the occupants opened fire almost immediately, demanding money that was allegedly owed. Simmons was fatally shot during the attack, and another man, Bonnie Lockhart, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
