On April 2, 2014, Wilneka Pennyman, a 19-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in Miami, Florida. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the Little Haiti neighborhood. Wilneka was standing outside a parked car on NE 63rd Street and First Avenue, conversing with her friend, 20-year-old Marquis Sams, who was seated in the driver's seat.
