Samuel McGriff Jr., a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 19, 2014, in Panama City, Florida. Samuel was shot in the abdomen on June 16, 2014, at approximately 4:30 a.m. while at a local apartment complex. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries three days later. His death marked the fifth gun-related fatality in Panama City within a month, highlighting a disturbing trend of violence in the area.
