Jenard Frederick, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on July 5, 2014, in Boynton Beach, Florida. The incident occurred during a drug deal arranged between Frederick and Serge Alexander Motti, a 58-year-old man with a violent criminal history. Motti, who had previously served over three decades in prison for a double murder in New York, met Frederick in a parking lot for the transaction. Upon meeting, Motti immediately executed Frederick by shooting him in the back of the head. He then turned his attention to Frederick's 19-year-old girlfriend, Imani Walker, shooting her in the face and running her over with his car multiple times. Despite her severe injuries, Walker survived the attack.
The case quickly drew significant attention due to the brutality of the crime and Motti's criminal background. Motti was arrested shortly after the incident, identified by Walker from her hospital bed. He was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Motti showed no remorse for his actions. He eventually pleaded guilty to avoid the death penalty, receiving six consecutive life sentences plus an additional 15 years.
