Ma'Keila Burkes, a 2-year-old girl from Fort Pierce, Florida, tragically lost her life on April 20, 2015, as a result of a drive-by shooting. On that fateful day, Ma'Keila was inside her home when someone fired an assault rifle from a car, striking her. The incident occurred in a residential neighborhood, and it is believed that the intended target was Ma'Keila's father. Despite the immediate medical attention she received, Ma'Keila succumbed to her injuries a few days later.
