Roderick Sweeting, a 17-year-old high school student from Miami Gardens, Florida, was tragically shot and killed on April 5, 2016. Roderick was returning home from school when he was gunned down just a few feet from his apartment complex. According to his mother, Tammy Sweeting, Roderick had texted her moments before the shooting, indicating he was almost home.
