Barbara Kavanaugh, aged 88, was found dead on April 19, 2016, at the Solaris Healthcare facility in Port Charlotte, Florida. The tragic incident was determined to be a murder-suicide involving her husband, Frank Kavanaugh, aged 81. Frank, a right-to-die advocate, fatally shot Barbara before taking his own life.
