Amanda Lizzette Alvear, a 25-year-old pharmacy technician from Davenport, Florida, tragically lost her life on June 12, 2016, during the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Alvear was one of the 49 victims killed in what became the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history at the time. The attack was carried out by Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old security guard, who opened fire inside the nightclub, targeting the LGBTQ+ community.
