Akeyla McCoy, a 23-year-old African American woman, was found dead on September 5, 2016, in Deltona, Florida. The tragic incident occurred in a home on Providence Boulevard, where she was discovered alongside Jonathan Jeanniton, a 29-year-old man. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office responded to a frantic 911 call reporting a shooting at the residence.
