Jimmie Lee Rogers, aged 39, tragically lost his life on November 18, 2016, in Winter Haven, Florida. Rogers was fatally shot in the early morning hours as he arrived at his apartment complex on Avenue J NW. The incident occurred when Rogers was confronted by Julian William Bird, a 26-year-old man from Lake Wales, who, along with two unidentified accomplices, had planned to rob Rogers.
