In the midst of the turmoil that gripped Baltimore in the spring of 2015, the life of Andre Hunt, a 28-year-old man known in his community as a barber and a volunteer, was cut short. On April 29, 2015, Hunt was fatally shot in broad daylight in the 3800 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. His death was one of many that contributed to a spike in violence following the civil unrest in the city.
