Lester Denmark, a 40-year-old African American man from Tallahassee, Florida, tragically passed away on February 2, 2017. He was found with gunshot wounds at the Springfield Apartments on Joe Louis Street, a public housing complex. Despite efforts by paramedics to provide medical assistance, Lester Denmark succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) launched a homicide investigation immediately following the incident.
