Leticia Cortez, a 20-year-old woman from Sarasota, Florida, tragically died on July 30, 2017. The incident occurred while she was having dinner with her family at their home. During the meal, her brother, Daniel Cortez-Reyez, 19, accidentally discharged a semi-automatic handgun.
