Michael Sean Smith, a 23-year-old resident of Fort Myers, Florida, tragically lost his life on October 23, 2017. He was found dead alongside Stephen Belmonte, 53, in an apartment at the Gulfstream Isles complex on Red Cedar Drive. The Fort Myers Police Department responded to a call about a shooting at the apartment around 8:30 a.m. Upon forcing entry, they discovered the bodies of Smith and Belmonte, as well as a dog named Sandy, who had also been shot.
