Robert Edward Lane Jr., a 34-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 10, 2019, in Fort Myers, Florida. The incident occurred on Franklin Street, where Fort Myers police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Robert Edward Lane Jr. and another individual, Serdarryel English, had been shot. Lane was pronounced dead at the scene, while English, aged 37, was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with injuries.
