Kevin Lamont James, aged 40, tragically lost his life on January 19, 2018, in Fort Myers, Florida. The incident occurred late at night on Polk Street, where James was fatally shot. The Fort Myers Police Department responded to the scene shortly after 11 p.m., finding James and an unidentified woman who was also injured and subsequently taken to Lee Memorial Hospital. This marked the first homicide investigation for the Fort Myers police in 2018.
