Nelson Haywood, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on November 19, 2017, in Jacksonville, Florida. The incident occurred at a home on West 18th Street in the Grand Park neighborhood. According to reports, Nelson Haywood was shot through the door of the home. Despite the presence of other individuals in the house at the time, no one else was injured.
