On January 23, 2018, Taneta Morrell, a 40-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed in a shooting incident at her home in Brooksville, Florida. The incident also claimed the life of her 16-year-old daughter, Brene Marshall, and left her boyfriend, Adolphus Washington, severely injured.
