In the aftermath of the shooting, Kenyata Bullard, also known as the rapper Yungeen Ace, was arrested on a probation violation charge. He had been sentenced to 31 months probation in October 2017 for being an accessory after the fact in a 2016 case involving a failed marijuana buy that led to a shooting. Kenyata Bullard's probation prohibited him from possessing a firearm, which constituted the violation. The Sheriff's Office did not release information on whether he had a firearm during the quadruple shooting.
