On September 26, 2015, 43-year-old Christopher Smith was found dead in San Francisco after suffering fatal injuries from gun violence. The incident occurred near Union Square, in the Hallidie Plaza area, where Smith was discovered with apparent stab wounds. Emergency responders attempted to provide aid, but Smith succumbed to his injuries shortly after. No arrests were made immediately following the incident, and the investigation into his death remained ongoing.
