Joerod Jamel Adams, a 19-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, tragically lost his life on August 24, 2018. The incident occurred following a football game at Raines High School, where Adams had been a former student. The shooting took place around 10:30 p.m. as crowds were leaving the game. Adams, along with a 17-year-old friend, was targeted in the attack, which also resulted in a 16-year-old girl being wounded by a stray bullet.
