In the late summer of 2004, William 'Billy' Smolinski, Jr., a 31-year-old man from Waterbury, Connecticut, seemingly vanished. On August 24, he asked a neighbor to look after his beloved German Shepherd, Harley, for a few days, explaining he was heading north to look at a car. This was the last time he was seen.
