Nathan Julien, a 63-year-old restaurant owner from North Miami Beach, Florida, was tragically shot and killed on December 22, 2018. Julien, a Haitian immigrant, operated a restaurant inside the Styx Sports Bar and Grill located at 153rd Street and West Dixie Highway. The incident occurred early in the morning as Julien was leaving work and locking up the establishment. According to witnesses and authorities, the shooting appeared to be part of a robbery attempt.
