On February 12, 2019, Gail Ann Still, aged 57, was found dead in her home in Ormond-by-the-Sea, Florida, alongside her husband, Ronald Alan Still Sr., aged 59. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from the couple's daughter, who had received a troubling text message from her father. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of Gail and Ronald Still, leading to an investigation that suggested a tragic murder-suicide.
