Justin Phillips, a 32-year-old white male, was shot and killed on May 25, 2019, in Fort McCoy, Florida. The incident occurred at the residence of John Spooner, a 62-year-old white male, who claimed self-defense under Florida's Stand Your Ground law. According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Phillips was visiting Spooner's home along with another individual, John Daniels, when the shooting took place.
