Rodney Martin, a 39-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on the night of May 28, 2019, near his apartment on South Military Trail in Boynton Beach, Florida. Martin, described by friends and family as a loyal friend and devoted father, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Martin's death was being investigated as a homicide, but no motive or suspect was immediately identified.
