Ray Dukes, a 30-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 17, 2019, in Jacksonville, Florida. Dukes was a well-known figure in his community, having been a standout football player at Raines High School and Edward Waters College. He was a father of four daughters and was deeply involved in their lives. On the night of his death, Dukes was at the Normandy Apartments when he was shot multiple times.
