Kelly Jo Brubaker, a 49-year-old sergeant with the Orange City Police Department, tragically passed away on November 19, 2019, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Her death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. On the evening of her death, Brubaker was found floating in the surf near SunSplash Park, having sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
