Tar'niya Carter, a 16-year-old student at Spectrum Academy in Stuart, Florida, tragically lost her life after being shot on December 3, 2019, in Fort Pierce. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 3100 block of Avenue J, where police responded to reports of shooting activity. Carter and a 15-year-old boy were both injured in the shooting. While the boy was released from the hospital, Carter succumbed to her injuries after being on life support for several days. Her death has deeply affected ...
