Michael Edward Walpole, a 37-year-old white male, was found dead on December 4, 2019, in Cape Coral, Florida. The Cape Coral Police Department responded to a home in the 2600 block of NW 9th Street and discovered the bodies of Michael and his mother, Joanne Lynn Walpole, 59. The investigation revealed that Joanne Walpole shot her son, Michael, and the family dog before turning the gun on herself in what was ruled a murder-suicide.
