On September 19, 2020, Bernard Nixon, a 38-year-old African American man, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at the Food Max Meat Market on 18th Avenue South. A large crowd of about 50-100 people had gathered outside the market when an argument broke out between individuals, leading to gunfire.
