Guadalupe Pineda Salinas, an 18-year-old Hispanic female, tragically lost her life on November 5, 2020, in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Guadalupe, who was born on January 25, 2002, in Fort Myers, Florida, was a lifelong resident of Lee County. She was known for her vibrant personality, love for dancing, singing, and drawing, and her strong family orientation.
Guadalupe had recently graduated from Dunbar High School in May 2020 and had aspirations of becoming a business owner, having been accepted to Florida SouthWestern State College to study business management.
On the night of her death, Guadalupe and a friend were approached by Raymundo Estrada, a 19-year-old male, who attempted to rob them. When they resisted, Estrada shot at them, resulting in Guadalupe's death. The incident was a devastating blow to her family and friends, who remembered her as a loving and supportive individual with a smile that could light up a room.
Following the incident, Raymundo Estrada was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, attempted robbery, and shooting into an occupied conveyance. In July 2022, Estrada pled guilty to these charges and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
