On January 20, 2021, Darius Antwan Smith, a 40-year-old resident of Titusville, Florida, was found dead on a sidewalk near the intersection of South Grannis Avenue and Tropic Street. The Titusville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 4:30 AM. Upon arrival, officers discovered Smith lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound.
